Henry Fulton Public School

Painted on Darug Country in collaboration with artist Jessica Tobin

Medium: Aerosol and acrylic paint on brick.

Henry Fulton Public School engaged myself and Jessica Tobin to design and paint a mural that celebrates the school’s local nature.

With bush surrounding the school, Wianamatta Nature Reserve and the several endangered species that call it home were the main inspiration for this design. The mural features only plants and animals that are currently endangered. Over the three days of painting, different classes came out and we were able to engage and interact with the students, educating them about what we were painting and why.

From left to right, the mural features a sugar glider, geebung, little green lorikeet, yellow pea flower, spider grevillea and an Australian green-tree frog.
